Fishing in Okmulgee Lake Area

The twin lakes of Okmulgee Lake and Dripping Springs Lake lie nestled together in the Okmulgee & Dripping Springs Lake & Recreation Area. Saying that the fishing here is good is a dramatic understatement as Dripping Springs Lake was the first in Oklahoma designated as a "Trophy Bass Lake." Anglers visit the lakes to cast for bluegill, sunfish, white crappie, black crappie, channel catfish and largemouth bass. Dripping Springs Lake has both a cool spring-fed stream under the surface and a stand of submerged timber that combine to create an ideal fish habitat. So grab your rod and tacklebox and head to the Okmulgee Lake Area to reel in your own trophy catch!
