Fishing in Okmulgee Lake Area

The twin lakes of Okmulgee Lake and Dripping Springs Lake lie nestled together in the Okmulgee & Dripping Springs Lake & Recreation Area. Saying that the fishing here is good is a dramatic understatement as Dripping Springs Lake was the first in Oklahoma designated as a "Trophy Bass Lake." Anglers visit the lakes to cast for bluegill, sunfish, white crappie, black crappie, channel catfish and largemouth bass. Dripping Springs Lake has both a cool spring-fed stream under the surface and a stand of submerged timber that combine to create an ideal fish habitat.
