Amid the cold winter temperatures, Bartlesville’s Price Tower has plans to help warm local hearts this Valentine’s weekend. Live love songs, lovely culinary creations and the opening of a new “romantic” art exhibit in the gallery are all part of the upcoming Valentine’s weekend celebration at the Tower.
The exhibition “Touch” by Tulsa artist Alyssa Fields opens this weekend in Price Tower’s gallery. Along with the romance-themed artwork, vocalist Ann-Janette Webster will provide musical ambience from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on both February 11 and 12 in the first-floor restaurant. Wright Chef Nook is busy creating a special Valentine's dinner (by reservation) to be shared with loved ones on both Friday and Saturday night from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Price Tower Curator Deshane Atkins says the team at the Tower looks forward to helping Green Country celebrate the season of love during the Valentine's holiday.
“Price Tower is such a special place that changes with every show and event we have. We have a unique getaway for both locals and out of town visitors to celebrate Valentine’s,” said Atkins. “We’ll feature live romantic music, a wonderful dinner planned by our chef, romantic overnight packages in the Inn at Price Tower and an awesome gallery opening with Alyssa Fields. The Tower is the perfect place to celebrate with loved ones.”
The “Touch” exhibition opens Friday, February 11 and Saturday, February 12 brings a “meet & greet” from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. allowing art lovers to view and discuss the romantic and thought-provoking works. Fields will give a short gallery talk at 6 p.m. Alyssa Fields is an oil painter who earned her master's degree from Laguna College of Art & Design in Laguna Beach, CA.  She currently resides in Tulsa and teaches at Rogers State University.
Price Tower Executive Director Tiffany Wade says her crew is excited about Valentine’s weekend and is already looking ahead to this year’s annual Price Tower Gala coming up March 19. Guests will be treated to culinary creations by Chef Nook, a one-of-a kind silent auction, unique artwork and live music and dancing with Tulsa band “Zodiac.” Tickets can be purchased now at  All proceeds from the Gala and all Tower events support Price Tower operations.
“We exist due to the continued generosity of the community and our members. The Arts Center is a non-profit organization, and proceeds from our restaurant, inn and events like the Gala go to preserve the building and community outreach for future generations,” said Wade. “Price Tower is such a magical place, and we want people of all ages to feel welcome here. The more the Oklahoma comes together to support the Arts and events here… the more we can do in turn for this great state.”
