Tulsa Historical Society and History Museum
Tulsa's history is abundant at the Tulsa Historical Society and Museum and with the renovation of the Travis Mansion now complete, the Society has a gift shop, research library and additional exhibit galleries.
"Step Into" the rich history of Tulsa at the Tulsa Historical Society and Museum. Observe any and all of the eight rotating exhibits available at the Museum or stroll through their peaceful Vintage Gardens during your afternoon walk. As you breeze through the Garden, take a look at their outdoor bronze statues depicting the five renowned American Indian ballerinas of Oklahoma: Yvonne Chouteau, Rosella Hightower, Moscelyne Larkin, Maria Tallchief, and Marjorie Tallchief.
Established over 50 years ago in 1963, the Tulsa Historical Society and Museum has accumulated a vast collection of resources and educational tools. The Museum, originally housed in the Gilcrease Museum, now calls the newly renovated Sam Travis Mansion home.
