Philbrook Museum of Art
The Philbrook Museum of Art, an Italian-style villa hailing from the Twenties, is the former home of colorful oilman Waite Phillips and houses Italian Renaissance works in oil and sculpture, as well as ancient, classical and Oriental pieces. This 72-room mansion spans 23 acres of luscious garden, making it an unforgettable centerpiece of Tulsa for the last hundred years.
The nationally-renowned Philbrook Museum of Art is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was featured in the television series "America's Castles." The Museum offers:
- Touring art exhibitions
- Lecture series
- Special events
- 23-acres of English-style formal gardens, which have under-gone the largest renovation and expansion ever done to the museum's gardens. The results are breathtaking; nothing else like it is offered in this part of the country.
