Join us in downtown Vinita, Oklahoma for a fun family event this summer! The 7th Annual Vinita Route 66 Festival and Vinita’s 150th birthday festivities will begin Wednesday, June 16th at 5 pm with a carnival from Pride Amusements at South Park and will continue each night through Saturday until 10 pm.
There will be a block party Friday and Saturday from 6 pm to 10 pm with kids activities, food trucks and live music from Broken Aces on Friday and Whiskey Poet Society on Saturday.
Saturday’s fun will also include a car show organized by the Craig County Cruisers, family entertainment, shopping specials at local merchants, live entertainment and music, a wide-variety of vendors, and a whole lot of birthday fun. This year’s festival will also include a 150 Fest celebration in honor of Vinita’s 150th birthday with a community photo at 1:50 pm, birthday treats, special guests, and the creation of a time capsule to be opened at the city’s 200th birthday.
We're sure you'll enjoy your time in Oklahoma's second-oldest town, 150 years young in 2021, located in the Cherokee Nation reservation, and once home to Cyrus Stephens Avery the "Father of Rt. 66". History, shopping, food, and fun. We’re glad to be back – bigger than before – and we hope to see you on the Mother Road this summer!
