You can forget to go on a float trip when you stay on the Illinois River. Sparrowhawk Camp provides several choices of flotation devices, including fiberglass, plastic, or aluminum canoes, rafts, kayaks, and innertubes.
You can take any length trip from 1-70 miles, but by far the most popular is the 7-14 mile option which gives you a beautiful view of the river as you float lazily along its waves.
