USSSA Baseball Tourney set this weekend in Miami, Oklahoma

he City of Miami’s Tourism & Recreation Department is set to host the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) Summer Showdown this weekend in Miami, Oklahoma.  The two-day event is scheduled for May 18 & 19 at Joe Pollock Field, Francis Morgan Field and the Little League Baseball complex. Age divisions for the brackets are 14 & under, 12 & under, 11 & under, 10 & under, 9 & under and 8 & under coach pitch. Nearly fifty USSSA baseball teams will participate in the tournament coming to Northeast Oklahoma from locations across the four-state area.  
Pool play games will begin on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. Sunday’s contest will include bracket play and will start at 9 a.m. All teams in each division are guaranteed three games.

Gates will open both days at 8 a.m.  Admission cost is $5 for adults and $2 for kids (ages 6-15). Children ages 5 and under are free. Concessions will be available throughout the event.
