The Pioneer Woman Mercantile Announces July 4 “Patriotic Party on the Prairie”

Come with family. Come with friends. Come to Pawhuska, Oklahoma on July 4 to celebrate
Independence Day! The Pioneer Woman Mercantile, in partnership with Pawhuska Chamber,
City of Pawhuska, and local businesses, will host a day-long street festival with vendors, music,
street food, and small town charm on Kihekah Avenue in downtown Pawhuska. The festivities
will culminate at dusk with a big, booming fireworks display!
Festivities will begin downtown at 9 am with the annual Pawhuska Freedom Celebration
Parade. Live music by Jason Savory Band, A Bar Bunkhouse Band and Rider’s Ford will begin
at 11 am and continue until the fireworks that evening. Throughout the day, The Mercantile will
be grilling up burgers, sausages, corn-on-the-cob, and steak bites for party goers to enjoy
outside.
“Patriotic Party on the Prairie” will also feature Oklahoma-made companies like, JL Woodworx
(Oklahoma City, OK), which offers beautiful home goods crafted from salvaged lumber, Ethos
Custom Brands (Sallisaw, OK), which specializes in leather guitar straps and boots, and The
Soap Shack (Tahlequah, OK), which creates handcrafted and unique soaps. Local merchants
from Pawhuska will also participate.
In addition, on July 3 and 4, Ladd and Ree Drummond, owners of The Mercantile, invite visitors
to tour The Lodge on Drummond Ranch. The Lodge is the Drummonds’ family guest home and
serves as the production location for their Food Network series Tickets are required, and can be
picked up each day at The Mercantile. (Note: Tickets are free!)

The Pioneer Woman Mercantile is a destination bakery, deli, and general store in Pawhuska,
Oklahoma. In 2012, cookbook author and Food Network host Ree Drummond and her husband,
Ladd, purchased the Osage Mercantile Building in downtown Pawhuska. The Drummonds
renovated the building and opened on October 31, 2016. The Mercantile is a place of generous
