Kids’ Fishing Rodeo at Three Forks Harbor

Summer is almost here and that means it’s time for the Kids’ Fishing Rodeo at Three Forks Harbor!
In 2007, the Port of Muskogee created an event to encourage kids, parents and grandparents to get outside and explore the beautiful Arkansas River and Three Forks Harbor. Thanks to the visionary group at the Port of Muskogee and the volunteers and sponsors that have devoted themselves since, this non-profit event has grown every year and has evolved into the Kids’ Fishing Rodeo.
With more than a hundred of kids fishing every other year and several hundred adults it is recognized as one of the family fun events of the summer.
For the kids, we give medals to each participant to make it a memorable and we award prizes to specialized fishing categories.
Each participant also receives a bag filled with an in-kind donation from local merchants as well as a t-shirt to make the event more memorable. Drawings for additional prizes are held throughout the morning assuring that each registrant walks away with something from this event. Entrants also enjoy a free boxed lunch from Charlie’s Chicken.
The Kids’ Fishing Rodeo will be held Saturday, June 17 at Three Forks Harbor. We strongly encourage those wishing to participate to pre-register online at Fishing will begin at 9 a.m. sharp, so be sure to arrive a little bit early to get your spot by the water and don’t forget your fishing pole! Parents may supervise, but please be aware that this is intended to be a children’s fishing event.
The Kids’ Fishing Rodeo will take place, rain or shine. If more information is needed, call Three Forks Harbor at 918-682-7886 or go to
