City of Miami set to host USSSA Softball Tournament this weekend

The City of Miami’s Recreation Division will host the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) Firecracker Showdown Softball Tournament on July 14-15, 2018.  More than thirty teams representing the four-state region, will converge in Miami, Oklahoma for the two-day event that will be held at Joe Booth Softball Complex.  The tournament will consist of five divisions (18 & under, 14 & under, 12 & under, 10 & under and 8 & under).   
Pool play games will begin on Saturday at 8:45 a.m.  The last game will be at 6:00 p.m. at the complex.   On Sunday, bracket play will begin at 8:45 a.m.  Each team is guaranteed three games in the tournament.  Gates will open both days at 8 a.m.
Admission cost is $5 for adults and $2 for kids (ages 7-15). Children ages 6 and under are free. Concessions will be available throughout the event.
