Celebrate Spring this May at Har-Ber Village Museum in Grove, Oklahoma

Har-Ber Village’s Saturday Surprises programming continues in May. Activities are included with regular admission. 
 
On May 4, from 9 a.m. to  p.m., join Har-Ber Village Staff at Lendonwood Gardens. Create a nature-themed gelli print, and purchase one-of-a-kind hand-crafted yarn scarves—just in time for Mother’s Day gift-giving!
 
On May 11, visiting mothers and grandmothers receive reduced admission of $5 (regular admission is $10; $7.50 for seniors) and a coupon to make a free yarn scarf in the Craft Room. 
May 18 is Armed Forces Day. Visit the Har-Ber Village Military exhibit to learn facts about conflicts starting with  the American Revolution through Desert Storm. 
 
On May 25, kick off the Memorial Day weekend by creating Red, White, and Blue! chalk art and a patriotic necklace.
 
On Memorial Day, the Blue Star Program begins. Each year Har-Ber Village Museum participates in this program which provides free museum admission for active military and their families through Labor Day.
 
A baseball exhibit featuring local residents who once played professional baseball continues through June 24, Thursday through Monday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Visitor Center exhibit gallery.
  
 
Har-Ber Village Museum is open 5 days each week, Thursday through Monday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; closed Tuesday and Wednesday. The pioneer-era village and antique collections, complete with Visitor Center, The Country Store gift shop, Nature Trail, Mining Company, Picnic Pavilion, and Event Tent allows visitors to experience the area’s history and ecology as well as view collections of antiques and memorabilia. Adults $10; Seniors $7.50; ages 6-13 $5; under 6 and members free. The Café at Har-Ber Village serves breakfast and lunch, and is open the same days as the museum, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Café can be reached at 918-787-7617.
