1st Poker Run of the season Golden Eagle Run Set for Saturday, July 13 at Lake Eufaula

The gates are open and the lake level is receding! That means it’s time “To Get Your Poker On” for the first poker run of the season on Lake Eufaula.
Lake Eufaula Association will host the Golden Eagle Poker Run on Saturday, July 13. Registration is ongoing. Cost is $225 for six cards or $200 for five. That extra card gives you more opportunity to “Win”.
Stops for the annual run are: No. 9 Marina, Evergreen Marina, Belle Starr Marina, Katt Daddy’s Cove and Eufaula Cove Marina. Entrants will bring those five cards to Beaver Bar & Grill at Eufaula Cove Marina and receive your sixth card (if you purchased it at registration) when your hand is revealed.
LEA is celebrating 20 years of the Golden Eagle Poker Run. “LEA started the Golden Eagle Poker Run on Lake Eufaula in 1999,” said Executive Director Connie Morris. “It was the first event of this kind on Lake Eufaula, so you can say it’s the “Original” Poker Run.”
“Every pre-entry up to and including Friday, July 12, will receive two tickets for BBQ sandwiches, chips, drink and dessert as part of the 20 Year Celebration (while supplies last),” said Deb Parry, Sales & Promotion Manager. “Just a little token of our appreciation for support of this fundraising event.”
Pre-registration is open through Friday, July 12, at the Lake Eufaula Association office. Participants can enter at the office located at 701 S. Main, by phone 918-689-7751 or fax 918-689-7793. LEA is open Mon. – Thurs. 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Registration the day of the run is at Beaver Bar & Grill located at Eufaula Cove Marina, 400 Lakeshore Drive.
