Tulsa, OK, September 1, 2012 - The nation’s greatest cake designers will gather at the 19th annual Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show in Tulsa, OK on Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September 30 to showcase their majestic wedding cakes and compete to see who has created the best edible art.
This year’s theme, Headgear Hats & Headbands pays tribute to the headwear over the millennia – from the Royal Wedding to HM Queen Elizabeth’s Jubilee to Kerry Vincent’s own signature headband – the buzz and fashion uproar is about to be memorialized in cake.
Founded by Food Network Judge and undefeated cake competitor Kerry Vincent, the Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show puts hundreds of the best cakes on displays for fans of all ages to enjoy. In addition to seeing the cakes, fans are invited to experience demos by cake experts.
This year’s demos will be held by celebrity edible art stars, Martin Howard & Orlando Serrano.
“Some of the best cake artists in the world will be on display here,” said Kerry Vincent, co-founder of the Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show. “With stunning table settings and sublime sugar art design, you are assured of a wonderful visual experience that you will remember forever.”
The event is held at the Tulsa State Fair in the QUIKTRIP Building, location #42 on the state fair map (www.tulsastatefair.com). Admission is $10 for the entire fair, including the Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show. Show runs Saturday, September 29 from 10 am to 11pm and Sunday, September 30 from 10 am to 6pm.
