One of the many attractions in Oklahoma on Route 66 is the Route 66 Village in Tulsa.

Items in the Village provide visitors with a glimpse of days gone by.  It is located west of the Arkansas River – look for the giant oil derrick, it’s the tallest in North America.  The Route 66 Village features several restored transportation attractions including a Frisco1157 caboose and Weyerhauser tank car, and the centerpiece of the Village is the Frisco 4500 Meteor Steam Engine.

This Transportation Theme Park was build by a community of volunteers and dedicated workers, and now stands as a monument to the work ethic and rich history of the City of Tulsa.  The Village commemorates Oklahoma's national treasure: Route 66.
