Oral Roberts University
Oral Roberts University (ORU) was founded in 1963 by Oral Roberts, an evangelist with a vision for Mind, Body and Spirit. Today, this Higher Learning Commission accredited college is one of the largest, most influential liberal Arts Christian Universities in the world. Students enroll from around the world for the opportunity to learn how to become world leaders while balancing learning, religion and health.
The 263-acre campus is beautifully landscaped and created with a vision for a better world. ORU's campus is home to the Prayer Tower, a very unique Googie design-influenced tower of steel and glass with an observation deck midway up the needle like structure.
The entrance to the campus features a statue of the World's largest praying hands standing 60 feet tall. The structure was originally called "The Healing Hands" and was located across the street at the "City of Faith". The structure was moved to its current location at the entrance of Oral Roberts University in 1989.
ORU's Golden Eagles offers exciting sports activities for the whole family including, soccer, baseball, basketball, golf, tennis, cross country, field and track. Detailed information is listed on the website and tickets can be purchased at https://oruathletics.com/landing/index.
