The La Quinta Mansion is an historical landmark serving as a cultural staple to both the Oklahoma Wesleyan University as well as the community of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
The La Quinta Mansion was the home of renowned architect Edward Buehler Delk H.V. Foster. Mr. Foster designed his paradise to sit on 152 acres, three miles from town. The Foster Family of four were able to move into their Spanish style, 32-room home equipped with 14 bathrooms and seven fireplaces in 1932. Edward Foster was a community staple to the small town of Bartlesville, and his home's construction gave jobs to those in need during the Great Depression. This glamorous home served as the Foster's home until Mr. Foster's passing in 1939.
Currently owned by the Oklahoma Wesleyan University, this historical landmark is now open to the public for educational fun for the whole family. Within its' walls are layers of history, cultural beacons, and an expansive collage of beautiful architecture telling the stories of multiple cultures.
