Looking for lake things to do in Oklahoma, you might want to visit Lake Eufaula.  Oklahoma's largest lake is located along Interstate-40, in eastern Oklahoma.  14 miles SW on Hwy 150 lies the community of Eufaula.

With 600 miles of shoreline, Lake Eufaula offers multiple marinas and some offer rentals of houseboats, pontoon boats, ski boats and paddle boats.  Several boat ramps offer visitors who bring their own boat, convient access to the cooling waters.

Like to fish?  Those found in Lake Eufaula include white bass, catfish, crappie and striper, among others.  Like to hunt, hike, bike, or ride?  Can do on the miles of trails intertwined around the lake.

Deer, quail, ducks and geese populate the over 31,000 acres of public hunting areas around the lake.  


Lake Eufaula State Park near Checotah, provides visitors with numerous outdoor recreation opportunities including great wildlife watching on hiking trails.  For those looking to move a bit faster, bring a bike and take off on one of the mountain biking trails.

The stables at Lake Eufaula State Park offer an even closer to nature experience, on a trusty steed. You’ll also want to stop by the Deep Fork Nature Center, where visitors learn about native plant and animal species; and naturalist programs are offered to both adults and children.
