Hotel Will Rogers-Will Rogers Lofts
Dedicated in 1930, the hotel contained 78 rooms and 7 apartments. During WWII it was designated as a bomb shelter.
The Hotel Will Rogers was known for offering mineral baths containing radium water and were an important part of the marketing strategy for the hotel owners.
In 1997 the hotel was renovated and turned into apartments. Visitors may still tour the lobby and 2nd floor, where the originial Ball Room is still in use, Monday through Friday from 10am to 5pm. The lobby displays a statue of Will Rogers donated by the Rogers County Historical Society, entitled "I Don't Tell Jokes. I Just Watch the Government and Report the Facts." The beautiful historic building can be appreciated by every age group, from kids to veterans.
