Honor Heights Park
Looking to visit one of the most beautiful places in Oklahoma? Look no further than Honor Heights Park in Muskogee; this could be the most visited attraction in Oklahoma during the month of April.
Azaleas shed winter’s chill and cloak themselves in colorful blossoms, ranging from white to red, with every imaginable shade of pink, coral and lavender in-between. Honor Heights Park features include numerous flower gardens, lakes, gazebos playground and picnic areas among the 132 acres. Situated on Agency Hill, other Oklahoma attractions located in the Park include, the Papilion Butterfly House open daily from Mother’s Day through Columbus Day; multiple trails frequented by walkers, runners and birdwatchers; and the Five Civilized Tribes Museum.
In addition to the Azalea Festival each April, Honor Heights Park is also home to the Garden of Lights Festival in December.
