(jump to map)

A quite, sleepy little town nestled on the banks of the Arkansas River, between Pawnee and Pawhuska.

The close proximity and easy access of the river have always made this a fisherman's paradise. The expectation of snagging a trophy sand bass or channel catfish from the swiftly flowing water keep many sportsmen returning every year.

Most of the buildings of the original township were constructed of native sandstone with brick sidewalks lining the main street in front. Many of the buildings still standing are:

  • Original Homestead House
  • The First State Bank
  • The Old Opry, where many operettas, dances and boxing matches were once held.

While in town be sure to visit Plant Alley and catch a home cooked meal at the Ralston Cafe.
