Osage Tribal Tourism

The Osage Reservation history extends back a millennia and is woven into a contemporary fabric of rich tribal culture, oil, money and cowboys.
Take time to visit the many historical sites, museum and attractions we have to offer
Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce

"Home on the Range".... 'aptly describes Pawhuska, home of the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve, the Osage Indian Tribe, real-live Cowboy Heroes, and much more.
When the wagon trains headed west, they had to cross the tallgrass prairie, an ecosystem that covered 142 million acres at that time.
About 60 miles northwest of Tulsa, Pawhuska is the gateway to the Nature Conservancy's Tallgrass Prairie Preserve. Now spanning a vast 39,000 acres and disturbed only by the thunder of more than 2,000 bison, it is the only protected ecosystem of its kind in the world. Also roaming free you will find white-tailed deer, bobcats, armadillos, beavers, badgers, coyotes and 300 species of birds.
A scenic route takes visitors through the heart of the preserve. Starting and returning in Pawhuska, the drive is about 35 miles and can take a couple of hours. There are five scenic turnouts on the route.
Vinita Chamber of Commerce

Vinita was established in 1871, the second oldest town in Oklahoma, when two railroads pushed into Indian Territory. The historic downtown district showcases antique shops and specialty boutiques, the Eastern Trails Museum offers insight into Vinita's history, and Historic Route 66 revs up another layer of charm. It continues to be an intersection point for the Burlington Northern and Union Pacific Railroads.

Two miles northeast of Oologah, an 1870's log-walled house defies time on a 400-acre living history ranch where Will Rogers was born into a pioneer Cherokee family before Oklahoma became a state.
